Isn't this kind of like a distributed version of cloud computing? Anyone can host their code on Ethereum. Each miner is operating a compute node that executes arbitrary code, instead of Amazon being the centralized host of all compute nodes.
The fees might be too high to make this particular analogy work, but just the fact that this technology exists today is mind-boggling.
