yes, the wallet and daemon already support tor, have a look at this command line options:

  -tor=<ip:port>         Use proxy to reach tor hidden services (default: same as -proxy)
or
  -proxy=<ip:port>       Connect through socks proxy

we usually use the proxy command line.


regarding bitcoinj (and thus mediterraneancoinj), it looks like a "Tor-by-default" modification to the code,
bitcoinj already supports proxy, socks (and thus tor), see here:

they want to integrate a tor java library (called Orchid) inside bitcoinj, so to have an all-in-one lib.

thus, we have already tor support
