I believe those people participated in Airdrop, there were awesome quests with great bounty - perfect place to start.
As for the current state, you need from 400 to 600 IMPs to get level 100. With the current price (checking coingecko right now) 400 IMPs it will cost about 20 USD.
I suggest buying now, as the price will rise with the next patch.

I doubt you can reach 100th without investing at all, or you might, but that would take incredible amount of luck and time. Easier to just put some cash into it, and get 100th as fast as you can, before update hits, and IMP might rise.

When you said the price will rise, I decided that I would invest about 50 bucks in the project as I want to get the 100th level as fast as possible.
By the way, where else can I invest my imps so that in a couple of months I will be like "Damn, that's great that a couple of months ago I put my money in here"?

As far as I know, you need to invest at least something - otherwise, where will you get the IMPs for leveling as Airdrop is over?

Just put them in mines. Until mining is nerfed you have enough time to mine as much IMPs as possible. Just don`t sell mined IMPs, put them in mines until you fill all of them.

It's only for that amount it offers, i think, for all of the players. So in a week it will expire, or when it all will be bought out.

You can invest about 200 imps and go fight other players (I advise you to do this if you have good artifacts).
If you are lucky, then 200 imps in a couple of hours can be turned into 600-800, but, again, if luck is your trump card.
I got so lucky one time, gained about 500-600 starting with 100.

Well, it is too risky to my mind. Besides, the main point of battles is gaining experience, not earning IMPs. You had to be REALLY lucky to multiply your initial amount of 100 IMPs 5 times.

But it should be on the main screen, right? I thought it was moved to some menu (to the Castle for instance) and I missed it.

You speak about earning 500 imps starting with 100 in battles, but I can't even earn 100 with 10, I lose all the time. You can`t even imagine how sad I am about it.

Fighting was not intended as a way to earn more IMPs - after all, remember commission fee. People battle to gain new levels and participate in leaderboard, not to get rich - although, some lucky people can indeed get so.
