You clearly weren't around when the Monero goon squad was out in full force. They've since calmed down, but back when the privacy coin war was beginning in 2014 they were utterly ruthless in their mission to destroy anything that wasn't Monero. It was a disgusting display of greed and insanity at their digital peaks. At least by forum standards.

Let me add "corrected" and "laughed at"..why?

Dash CEO and official channels says anonymous coin when it fits an agenda(like marketing) and says it is not anonymous when it fits another agenda (like bittrex delisting).

Dash’s transaction rules are identical to Bitcoin, and therefore for regulatory and compliance purposes Dash can and should be treated identically to Bitcoin.

Very heated debate about DASH. Some people talk about obvious problems in coin,some does not want to see them. Bittrex delisting becomes irrelevant in this situation,because market has already been delisted DASH.

DASH is only "major" which existed in 2017 and which price in BTC went far below beyond 2017 pre-pump level. 73% fall,from 0.01 to 0.0027 now,no doubt disastruos performance. Why?

- 95% of masternodes were established before 2017 pump,
- theirs operators paid off them many,many  times and has no reason not to sell coin immediately in situation when price is going down all the time,
- coin has been brutally drained due to major disbalance in reward ratio between masternode operators and miners,
- cant give 50% of coins with 0 cost and expect to be store of value.

Some people do not bother with that ,expecting when BTC consolidates,money will start to flow in altcoins,including DASH and price will skyrocket just like in 2017.Unfortunately,market in 2017 and now are quite different.Now ,money is separated in 2 firm blocks - BTC and ETH + Defi.ETH became de facto crypto silver.In such situation it is much more likely that most of money will rotate between these two blocks.We all saw how much money Defi can attract and it looks that Defi took role of altcoin market in 2017.Sure,some money will come to "ordinary" altcoins, but probably only to few of them.Many will suffer ELE - Extinction Level Event.

Will DASH survive it or will DASH go to trash? Hard to say.Coin has been drained so much,that it probably crossed point of no return or event horizon.Its technological advances were ruined by disastrous economic decisions.Maybe someone will see potential in its techno part and will try to overtake coin using opportunity of price crash.Time will tell.

Right now I'm liking me some Dash, as bitcoin is somewhere up in the stratosphere and altcoins are slobbering all over themselves on the launching pad.  All this interest in bitcoin from newcomers has got to lead to learning about choice coins like Dash, and after that will come the buying spree. 

I just made myself a nice Dash paper wallet and am going to keep adding to it throughout 2021.  Having a masternode has always been sort of a pipe dream for me, and while I'm not going to get there in 2021 I *am* going to start working toward owning enough Dash to get one. 

Both Dash and Bitcoin can optional have anonymity on their transactions.
Bitcoin is stuck with low level anonymity when users want anonymity on their transactions.
Dash provides options : low anonymity - mid level anonymity - high level anonymity (by having users set number of rounds to mix anywhere between 1-16 rounds).

According to your logic both Bitcoin and Dash should be delisted from exchanges for having optional anonymity on their transactions.
You do see the problem there, right ?

Both Bitcoin and Dash therefore have optional anonymous transactions optional anonymity on transactions available to them

The difference is in the level of anonymity anonymous
This is different with privacy coins like Monero that provide private transactions on default, through a closed blockchain.

Before coinjoin existed, bitcoin was considered anonymous until it isn't anymore.

Now..coinjoin is not anonymous anymore too, therefore bitcoin is not anonymous...so back to dash.

So..dash mid to high level anonymity option..is it anonymous or not?

This is about regulators wanting things to be transparent 'all the time', this is not about optional(dash) or not (monero)
