Why the sudden surge in value? Is it a pump? Haven't been here in a few days, any important info?
Tough to say for sure. Price-wise the coin is in an interesting spot - new RC coming next week which adds masternode payments (huge). At the same time the price has now gone up about 3.5x where it was sitting a few weeks ago so it's already risen quite a bit. It could certainly break far either way imo. There seems to be a feeling of a -guaranteed- price spike when RC2 is released but that thinking scares me, it's just what people with tons of coins to sell would love because people will be throwing buy orders at them. Sell on the news and all that.
So I dunno. Either way a jump in price today is likely to be followed by a dump, slow or fast, before RC2 is out. What happens then, hmm, well...less certain personally.
Of course this is crypto so who the hell really knows, we're all guessing lol.
I think some dumping action will commence once the pumper stops buying for a couple of hours. There hasn't been much serious dumping in all this buying, except some buy walls that were covered at 0.005 on Mintpal.
Whether the pumper will stop at 0.006 and the correction takes the coin to 0.005, or the pumper stops at 0.0052 and the corrections takes it back to 0.004x levels, is up to the pumper.
