EBT was being flash mined, which resulted in several orphaned chains and crashed servers. Then as soon as the development team could get the pools coordinated on the correct chain, a flash would happen again. These events began looking less and less like a coincidence after the 3rd or 4th time. Regarding orphans,
xminer's approach is best. Please take the steps he recommended to ameliorate your issues. Members of the development team have been getting confirmed stake through the night, with only a few orphans. But the orphans appear to be caused by instability in difficulty.
Regarding premine questions, we will present proof of what we have in the wallet, as soon as we the project manager has time to make a report. Also, we are preparing an analysis of the mining data of the block chain to show that ending PoW early will not significantly effect the size of the premine as a fraction of the total money supply. The reason is that most blocks currently being minted come from PoS. This fraction will only increase as the block rewards decrease and the network stake grows.
