I understand that this is not easily answered, but I am genuinely curious to know how many people are actually holding bitcoins.  I totted up the number of wallet addresses and that is 2,550,312 and the vast majority of those are holding just 0 - 0.0001 Btc. Discount those and it is just 1,308,893.  That seems far smaller than I thought it was and you have to assume that most people hold multiple wallets - personally I have about 3 addresses I use that hold money.  So my question is this – are there really less than 1 million bitcoin users or did I make a mistake?
