Ideally they could provide a budget for bug bounty as a compensation for their effort, this way, it could make the exchange more solid and minimizes the occurrence of platform issues that may arise in the future which could be catastrophic to the exchange's operation.
I think this is not necessary, because there are firms that are engaged in testing, they are better able to find and fix bugs - this should be handled by professionals.
It is always better to use both, professionals as well as user, coder and hacker motivated by bounty programs.
Dont underestimate hundreds of not professionals, they also can find interesting bugs.
