I unlocked it just after I received them, I kept my wallet unlocked for a good few days too, do I have to keep it unlocked for the entire time?

to mine pos you need to have an unlocked and running wallet

You need to use the command reserve balance <XX> in your wallet. Otherwise you cannot encrypt the wallet and it must be unlocked to stake.


in your case it should have staked and no you dont need the wallet open 24/7 only need to open it once the coins are weighted for staking/leave it open until they stake
