    Gold! There is lots of ways to lose bitcoins, like losing wallet ID, hack, keys, fire etc, but you can't really lose gold(ok, someone my steal it but that's hard), gold can survive flood, fire, earthquake almost everything. And it will never lose its value, and we can't say that for bitcoin.

    Someone even adviced me to try to pick up Gold in Belgium as the prices are much closer to what it should be, but it's not really worth it for me.

    If I can buy some Gold here at fair rates, then I'll go for it, but it's not a necessity.

    you can save it in hardwhare wallet or paper wallet
    Its very safe to store your bitcoin.

    I certainly would invest in both, but most of it into bitcoins, because from what I see in the current situation of the economy, there are signs for positive changes in the Bitcoin price, maybe very soon.

    Well you are going to do the best thing in investment. As we all know that gold is just keep on fluctuating its value higher and higher as the time is passing by. And as well as bitcoin the same characteristic with gold but still there is no assurance with bitcoin unlike with gold you have assurance that you are going to get profit surely.

    That is correct that we will eventually profit if we invest with gold however, investing more in bitcoin is I think the best way to go now. Look at Microsoft and internet, it is way newer than gold but it is now worth that big because it was the new thing in technology and people patronizes it until now and for sure until the future - this is same thing with bitcoin.

    Well if there would be no time I'd have to keep it I would choose for bitcoin but your question is to which one I pick to hold for 10 years. If it's for such a long time then it will probably be gold, I don't trust bitcoin enough to think it will survive trough 10 years. Gold on the other hand is always valuable so I will play my cards safe on this one.

    There are allot of people here who would say give me gold instead of bitcoins but what theydont think about is that there are more peopel with bitcoins than with gold and the price of gold would be higher for sure.

    If i need to choose between these two i would say give me gold but how many gold because bitcoins are 600 dollar each and gold is just around the 30/40 dollar each gram so i cant say what i would pick right now i need to think about,

    So you think more people hold bitcoin in the world over gold in jewellery form ?

    Don't think so, not even close.

    The bitcoin community is tiny when you look at it on a global scale.

    If it will just be given to you then it is proper not to choose, just receive whatever give as it is a blessing and it is money, whatever we choose as long as we feel comfortable investing with it then we are good to go, they have their own benefits and risk so we need to understand that.

    Did you even read my post? I said i would chose gold over bitcoins because fire can burn bitcoins and gold can survive, and you recommend paper wallet, than i said gold can survive flood and earthquake and you recommend hardware wallet? Your reply to my post doesn't make any sense!

    besides that if you ask for a gold course you need a place to store or carry the gold? and I'm sure you will be trouble when you carry a lot of gold. different when you bring bitcoin? bitcoin matter how much you have you could save a lot of bitcoin it in one place and it is very easy to carry and flexible

    Well, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and it uses cryptography to handle the creation, payment and transfer of money, while Gold isn't used for it very much. So I would choose Bitcoin.

    thats true, though im definitely not one of those people, right now i think that bitcoin is way better than gold and bitcoin might grow a lot in the future

    though im surprised that so many people are still into gold, it is not going to make them a lot of profit so i dont know why they put so much hope into it

    I will convert into gold. Gold is the secure way to save your wealth because gold is more stable than bitcoin.
    We all have an idea of how much the price of gold can increase or decrease but we don't have any idea of the bitcoin inflation or deflation rate in next 10 years. So better is to convert your wealth in gold as compare to bitcoin.

    higher gold prices because gold has a resale value accounted worthy? yeah to get and search for gold was not an easy thing you have to drill underground to get gold and gold is a beautiful jewelry? so I think it fair if gold has a higher price in comparison with bitcoin?
