    The OP was asking on a 10year time frame. Which makes Gold a pretty good Long term investment. Also it's much easier to get physical gold than Bitcoins in size.

    I am not arguing against Bitcoins but for a Long term Investor you should definitely hold both, Gold and Bitcoins. Diversification.

    I'm gonna go for the bitcoin and this is simply because I really like the bitcoin and I do not have the patient for the gold itself.
    Its just that gold is taking too much time to make good profit its only good on a long term.

    It is very difficult to spend gold to buy things directly. I have used bitcoin to buy some goods. It is quite easy.

    Gold is always good in long term and it has already have a future, while bitcoin also good in long term but we do not have assurance that it will be last forever. But the profit on bitcoin is good as of now.

    If you can earn both, bitcoins and golds, why not? But if we need to choose one, I would choose bitcoins for the flexibility of its characteristics. You can do many things with bitcoins unlike gold. As it is, you can already buy anything with bitcoins or avail of any services available. While you cannot do those with gold.

    I think bitcoin because bitcoin has higher value than gold.if u have a bitcoin u can buy a gold or anything you want.so i must choose bitcoin coz you can do what u want for using bitcoin.thats why bitcoin is more than a gold from me.

    Me either I'm going to choose rather than gold. Although I like gold too. But for me it is a very dangerous kind of thing because it can be robbed to you.
    And with bitcoin you can just store it with your wallet protected.

    If only we can accumulate gold for a small dividend , I think people here will now have a different aspect about which is better for investment.

    Since bitcoin can be buy for even a small piece of it out from the whole, people mostly preferred bitcoin over gold.

    Traditional users will always prefer to invest in gold as they find it safer investment and bitcoin is still very new to them and they don't know how it works so they will prefer to stay away from it.
