In the big final of the PSL season 9, Multan Sultan won the toss and chose to bat first against Islamabad United. Multan looks strong on paper and in good form as well. Good news for Islamabad fans, Colin Munro is playing in the match. He will be key for Islamabad up the order along with Martin Guptill. A target of around 200 should be a must looking at the IBD's batting depth. Multan batter will try to dominate Islamabad bowlers, but the first spell of Naseem Shah will be crucial in this final for both teams.

Afghanistan also won the toss and chose to bat against Ireland in the series decider.   

In the third T20 match of Afghanistan vs Ireland, Afghanistan team won the toss and decided to bat first. Afghanistan's opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz was dismissed for just 6 runs. If the partnership of Ibrahim Zadran and Sediqullah Atal goes towards the score, Afghanistan can collect big runs but Ireland team is doing very well against Afghanistan and it is a competitive performance. However, if Afghanistan batsmen can give Ireland a target of 150 runs, Afghanistan will still have a chance to win because Afghanistan's bowling line is very good. Let's see how many runs the Afghanistan batsmen can target to Ireland in the end.

Multan Sultans score 159 runs in a loss of 9 wickets in First innings of the match. At one stage Multan Sultans lost their 9 wickets in 127 runa then the power hitter iftkhar Ahmad show some power hitting and reached the Multan total to 159 runs after hitting three boundaries and three sixs in last 3 overs of the match. Islamabad United had amazing performance throughout the match especially Imad Wasim spin bowler fifer five wickets haul in the PSL final match. I think if Islamabad United didn't lose early wickets then they have a good chance of becoming champions.

Afghanistan vs Ireland, 3rd T20I is going on. And is about to lose the match. They need Ireland need 63 runs in 23 balls where they are standing at 93-8 position. Today Afghanistan played well and made good amount of runs which is 155 runs where Ibrahim Zadran made 72 runs from  51balls. Total runs wasn't that much higher to make but today Ireland facing touble cause they lost so many wickets in earlier. Gareth Delany, Curtis Campher, Harry Tector made some runs but don't think they could win today

Afghanistan vs Ireland. Afghanistan showed that they are still the better team. After winning the ODI series 2-0 against Ireland, they also won the T20 series 2-1.
On the last and final match of the series, Afghanistan made a medium but defendable score of 155. Ibrahim Zardan's 50 propelled the Afghani innings. Not a very huge target but Ireland struggled chasing it. Ireland lost early wickets, 15-3, Irish middle order tried to take the game back but they too fell and the lower order collapsed being all out in 17th over for just 98 runs. Losing the game by 57 runs.

PSL final, highlights for me:

Iftikar's firecrackers in last couple overs that took Multan's to a good total, his excellent catch of Munro.

The mix-up between Azam Khan and Guptil that cost Guptil his wicket, it was Guptil's fault, and from his reaction it appeared he owned it up, he must have realized it later it was Azam Khan on other side and he may not able to run that fast, lol. BTW, Azam Khan's straight six just couple balls before Guptil's run out was beauty.

The first T20 match of the New Zealand Women vs England Women series took place today. The tour will consist of 5 T20 matches and 3 ODI matches.

The performance of the New Zealand women's team has been very erratic. In the last two series against Pakistan Women's team and South Africa Women's team we also saw erratic performance of New Zealand Women's team. New Zealand's players did not perform well against the England women's team either.

England Women's team batted first and set a target of 161 runs. Captain Heather Knight played an excellent innings of 63 off 39 balls. Even though England Women were given a target of 161 runs, I thought the match would be competitive. But the match was completely one-sided. The batsmen of the New Zealand women's team have been batting very slowly since the beginning of the match. And in the end, New Zealand women's team collected 133 runs losing 5 wickets. The New Zealand team was defeated by 27 runs.

Afghanistan team has already won the third T20 match to clinch the series against Ireland. In the third T20 match, Afghanistan batted first and scored 155 runs for 7 wickets. Ibrahim Zadran scored the most runs in this match for the Afghanistan team who was not out with 72 runs, mainly because of his batting Afghanistan managed to collect 155 runs. Batting against the target of 156 runs given by Afghanistan, the batsmen of the Ireland team were in a batting disaster throughout the match. Ireland were bowled out for just 98 runs as a result of which Afghanistan won the match by 57 runs and clinched the T20I series.

Let's Afghanistan finally maintain their standards. After watching the first match in this T20 series, I thought that Afghanistan will not win this series. Because their performance in the first match was very bad, the batting line performed very badly. However, in the last match, they batted fairly well, but in terms of bowling, they performed outstandingly, especially Azmatullah Omarzai's four-wicket haul and Naveen-ul-Haq's three-wicket haul gave Afghanistan a lead.

Imad Wasim won the match for his team. Multan Sultans were restricted to just 159/9, which was never going to be enough at the Karachi National Stadium. Shadab Khan also played his part with 3 crucial wickets. And apart from Usman Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, no one really contributed for the Multan Sultans. A lot was expected from Mohammad Rizwan, but he was disappointing. Wasted a lot of balls and then got out. And in return, Islamabad United was very clinical.  The Kiwi duo of Martin Guptill and Colin Munro gave them a good start, before taken over by Azam Khan and Imad Wasim.
