Bangladesh has given a target of only 125 runs. And as I've heard about this pitch, it's a bit of a batting pitch and can easily be over 160 on such a pitch. So the target of 125 is not enough to win. The Bangladesh team is in a lot of crisis. They are consistently performing poorly. There is no improvement in performance. Liton Das is consistently batting poorly, the responsibility of an opener is very important. And he has always failed in his duty. I don't understand why he is being given a chance.

The result of the match was expected. The Bangladesh team was in the same condition as now, they had no hope of winning if no miracle happened.

There is no shortage of players to replace Liton Das, Bangladesh has players like Imrul, Anamul who were regular performers in the team before. Looks like Scotland will record another two digit total today. Never expected such pathetic performance from a team that won all three of their qualifier matches (including one against Bangladesh). And these matches are very important for them. A win means additional funding of $40,000 from the ICC. 

Scotland made 109 runs in their 20 overs. By the way, they have played the whole 20 overs, and they lost 8 wickets. So they had some wickets to work with too in the end. They lost wicket at regular intervals. And the match is over right now. Namibia won the match really easily. They had 4 wickets to spare and also five balls left. For me, it was the bad start Scotland made which they never recovered from. Though it was a small total Nambibia played well, and also the 11 extras hurt Scotland too.

@onecall123, Yeah, rough time for the team right now. I know Bangladesh is better than this but right now I don't even think that the players themselves believe that. I don't understand, you want the toss, you thought it was a good batting condition and you choose too bad but you cannot put runs on the board to defend. What is the point of winning the toss and what's the point of batting first? And after you put on a really small total you start leaking runs here and there. This was anything but professional. At this point, I don't even think that the players take this seriously as their job and I think they rather take this as their hobby. If you are a professional cricketer then you have to play like a pro because that's your job.

Namibia does have some good sets of pacers but I don't think they are good as a team to Upset any major team. Afghanistan on the other hand could be the gamechanger in this group, the way they scored 190 in the first match was commendable and I am very sure they will create at least 1 upset for the big 3. Pakistan obviously is pretty much in the semis even if they lose against Afghanistan which is unlikely they will still float into the semis comfortably. But I am sure Afghans will make an upset.

In the other group, I expected really a lot from Bangladesh before the start of the tournament but they are nowhere near the top teams of the tournament, in fact I would reckon the Afghanistan team is much better than their team. But I still feel this group would be quite competitive, SL is in good touch and I won't be much surprised if they give a tough fight to Australia tomorrow and if they somehow win that match, it will open a whole new level of possibilities for this group too. But if the Aussies win then I doubt WI or Ban would be able to beat them so they would be having greater chances of getting through.

It was a memorable day for Namibia. They have won their first World Cup's match. Scotland was not an easy opponent for Namibia. However, Namibia's bowlers have shown outstanding performance. They have won only because of the performance of the bowlers. If Scotland could have collected 130/140, Namibia's victory would have been difficult. The Namibian team is a potential team. They will become as strong as Afghanistan in the coming days.

Namibia can't be compared to Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a country of 35 million people and cricket is one of the major sports. On the other hand, Namibia is a desert country with a population of only around 2 million, and cricket is popular only among some of the minority ethnic groups. What they have done so far is commendable. But they have to deal with limited player pool and lack of opportunities. They received the ODI status in 2019, and are yet to play in any ODIs against the test playing nations.

Let's enjoy the match of Australia vs Sri Lanka. Although Australia is the favorite in this match. But Sri Lanka's performance in the previous match was good enough. Sri Lanka will not allow Australia to win easily, they will fight hard. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl. Right decision. The team batting later in this World Cup is performing well and the result is going to them.

In the Super 12, both teams have won their first match. It's who gets their second win tonight that concerns me. The Sri Lankan team can give tough competition to the Australian team if it is able to score 170 runs. Australia and Sri Lanka have a 60:40 chance of winning. According to their current run rate, Sri Lanka currently has a run rate above 8, so I can guess it would be fighting total.
