There is no investment in bitcoin that is risk free the fact that long term investment is prioritise over short term investment doesn't mean that so long as one is investing in long term is a guarantee of success.bitcoin is best appreciated when view in terms of long term because short term investment involves  high risk due to the volatile nature of bitcoin and also there is always greater potential of loss .

While not selling you will be risk-free - unless your wallet is hacked and you lose your coins.

I don't know why many people do it for the short term when we know bitcoin is not too volatile like shitcoin because the usual decline in bitcoin is usually negative news. But you should never be afraid of the decline in bitcoin because somehow the price will definitely recover again even though the process is long but because we are investing long-term it doesn't matter with this time part of patience while doing DCA all the time.

Of course bitcoin investment is risky but among all the investments one can think of bitcoin is less riskier than others when we compare it to stock and/or bounds. It's also true that nothing is guaranteed but then looking at bitcoin from the past history and events around it you will find it convincing to know that bitcoin is more guaranteed over any other type of investment.

Investing in bitcoin for short term is simply put calling bitcoin a bubble and/or Ponzi scheme/ get rich quick scheme however bitcoin  is beyond that, I call it a swan and/or paradigm as it is the first of its kind, the technology that shifted the thoughts of people for basically the fiat standard to a digital money.

I don't see anything in Rockstarguy's post recommending to learn about shitcoins.

I agree that there is a lot of volatility in bitcoin, and bitcoin can be affected by various factors, including market happenings related to liquidity and certainty (or lack of certainty), and surely bitcoin's price trajectory is likely Up, yet it is not guaranteed to go up as you proclaimed.

It has been stated clear and several time that waiting to buy the Dip is not advisable especially when someone is just starting Bitcoin investment ( no or low coiner) because you will definitely miss a lot of chances and opportunity that may not likely occur again. Well if you have dollar in your pocket, it value will go up and down depending on your country and the economy, and if you have Bitcoin in your wallet it value will also go up and down with time but the volatile nature of Bitcoin will make one have more profit in that Bitcoin with time but the value will not be that big unless you are accumulating and holding because if you buy a  small fraction of Bitcoin and leave it for years the value won't give you much profit unless you keep on accumulating and holding.

It's a good thing though but understanding how the markets trends is something we shouldn't take for granted cause it seems the cycle changes and then making use of the opportunities it brings is one thing to consider. And buying the dip is a requirement for a profitable investment in the long run so taking advantage of this strategy will go along way in resulting to huge profits overtime.

You actually quoting an old post, well accumulating Bitcoin regularly using the DCA strategy will be the best to accumulate Bitcoin so you can be accumulating Bitcoin even when the price is dropping than trying to compare when it's best to accumulate Bitcoin.

If you have a reserve fund and there is a decline in price you can accumulate aggressively making good use of the market dip and accumulate enough Bitcoin and still be doing your normal DCA regular consistently every weeks or months.

People with negative sentiments sometimes always see that in the end bitcoin is only for the short term so they cannot survive because in the end things like this happen because of the thinking where those who only try to be in bitcoin for short-term gains without being able to recognize more about how bitcoin works.

Not a few people are even destroyed because those who are in bitcoin but do not try to do it long term just because they are always focused on thinking that bitcoin can bring instant wealth. They always hold on to this even though for us it is wrong but because of the lack of knowledge and the ingrained mindset that bitcoin will bring profits quickly makes them not realize their mistakes even though they are in the right place which in the end they actually feel cheated by bitcoin and try to sell even though they feel a loss.
Although this is regrettable, this happens and many feel it so in this case knowledge is important so that we don't get lost with this kind of thinking because to be honest, even though for now many are literate for the long term but in the end not a few people also have a mindset where when in bitcoin they will profit quickly which actually makes their expectations be destroyed.

It is very important we understand what we are reading very well before commenting on it.



Some set of people makes mistake by involving there self in trading and shitcoins investment and there by wasting the time and resources they should have used in accumulating and holding Bitcoin for some number of years, trading Bitcoin will not bring you huge profit the way you are expecting it is only long term investment that will give you that.
While accumulating Bitcoin using the DCA strategy and you are very eager to trade maybe because is fun to you then you can use 1 percent from your Discretionary income to do that why continuing your consistent and regular DCA strategy of Accumulation.
But as a newbie it is not advisable to get involved in trading Bitcoin focus on accumulating and holding for long term only.



Yeah his very correct but one can't deny the fact that bitcoin is one of the best investment right now in the world ( if not the best) and investing in it with your discretionary income is really a good step.

Buy every dip according to the op of the thread does not mean you must buy every dip. The topic of discussion was not even buying every dip but it was originally buy the Dip And HODL. It's just unfortunate how Wind furry has been manipulating this thread for long now and this is beginning to change the narrative of people who are new to the thread. Well the main thing is to buy the Dip, it doesn't matter how often you buy, if you want to buy every dip it's up to you but its not a must. Buying Bitcoin should be done according to how we can afford to lose with our discretion or reserved fund, and not what we do out of will or above discretion. If you have discretion to buy every dip it's UpTo you but if you don't have then you can just decide to have a pric target for buying dip. It could be each time Bitcoin is down by below %10-5. But the main objective is to do whatever that please you that will not affect your investment strategy or even thinking about selling your Bitcoin HODLing later.

Like I said it is not necessary to buy every dip but you can take DCA seriously every week or month coupled together with buying the dip, but not every dip should be focused on. If you follow the name of the thread you may be misleaded to buy above your discretion so don't follow the title but invest with what you can afford to lose, or what you can invest comfortably without a second thought.
