It is always better to buy bitcoin when you have discretionary income to invest through dca the price of bitcoin at that time doesn't matter. If you meet the price low when you have discretionary income you should buy, if you meet it when it high you should buy and shouldn't wait.

The first impression i took from the day one i was introduced to this forum, i got the whole idea from him that i should always buy Bitcoin when ever i have the opportunity of discretionary income and once the discretionary income comes i don't waste time of buying Bitcoin even if i meet Bitcoin price i should buy and that every time is always the best time to buy Bitcoin.

You are not really making much sense to me here, first of all you said buying bitcoin when it is high (I'm assuming you mean the price) amounts to selfishness, I'm not even sure what to say to that right now with how completely misguided that statement actually is, because usually trying to buy when the price is low is what I would consider selfish and unwise. Anyone who only buy when the price is high might actually need a mental care facility because that's just unnatural. You are right about bitcoin not being a get rich quick scheme, this is very true and people need to understand it so that they don't go into bitcoin investment hoping to start cashing out on it immediately, the hopes will get crushed if that what they expect, it takes time a patience to succeed as a bitcoin investor. And I would like to point out that it's not very ideal to only buy when the price is low, every price of bitcoin right now is a good buying price and people buying the DIP right are doing good by it but you need to understand that most of the smart ones amongst them did not wait for this dip before investing, they were probably already accumulating at a relatively steady rate before this dip happened and decided to make the most of the dip opportunity when it presented itself, these investors would be gaining all way round. People who have been waiting for this dip for the past few months won't really gain much as the price may have just gone down to what it was when they decided to start waiting and even though they now feel accomplished, that feeling is false as it would have been better for them if they did not wait at all.

Can you elaborate why you are saying that buying Bitcoin when the price has gone high will require the person to have mental facilities?, are you saying it will results to a mental breakdown?, so does  buying high price now means lost of money? would you also care to tell us how the person was going to loss money. Actually you do not have control of the market that you will keep it on the same exact way when you want to buy but however it depends the states of the price of Bitcoin at your call for accumulation so you shouldn't have to fear the price because to become an investor is overcoming your fear or what the price might done to you. However you sounded as someone who is informed concerning a long term holding but I'm surprised you are not confident to do anything when the Bitcoin price got high.

I wouldn’t agree that buying through the DCA and lump sum wouldn’t be beneficial as buying a dip, I must say Everytime is beneficial to buy Bitcoin, It’s always advisable, and throughout my time of being here and learning here, I’ve come to understand that it’s better to keep buying bitcoin on a consistent basis whenever we have a discretionary income instead of waiting to buying a dip, I’m not saying anything is bad in buying a dip instead buying a dip with the right strategy is just the best idea, most people wouldn’t have an opportunity to buy a dip because it’s always an unpredictable market, because you’ll not have that opportunity if you don’t have some money saved aside specifically for buying a dip and if you don’t have other cashflow that would enable you buy a dip on a consistent basis.

But I must really emphasize that DCAing wouldn’t be a very bad idea, which I think it’s the more consistent approach that we can have in our journey of buying and accumulating bitcoin, maybe for someone who have enough discretionary income can actually afford to lump sum, which is quite an easy decision for them.

This is exactly what I am saying: for people who are afraid of buying when the price is high, this is a great opportunity for them to buy in the dip and hold for long, as the price is expected to go high again, but if they feel it is not a good time for them to invest and let the opportunity pass them, it will be a regret for them later, because hopefully soon the price is expected to be higher than it was before. This is a good time for investors to buy the dip and hold for long.

I'm not actually saying that this is true, BUT IF the Crash Of October 10, 2025 is actually the first indication that the Bull Cycle might be ending, THEN start saving more your monthly salary than usual and get ready for another GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY that you have been waiting for.

 

Buy the DIP, and HODL 2026 - 2027?

I'm sure that no smart investors will just sit back and be waiting for price to skyrocket before they buy, the ideology doesn't make any sense, rather investors should buy when they have the funds whether price is high or not. Infact if you're a long term investor and you're doing DCA method, looking at current price whether it's on pump or dump will be a distraction, you might be tempted not to buy because price just skyrocketed and you'd be waiting for it to dip before buying.

DCA investors will miss buying opportunity when they top up their discretionary funds to buy Bitcoin if they are looking at speculations of what price will be on the short term. The only time that waiting for a buy opportunity can be considered is if you have a lump sum somewhere that you don't have a serious plans for, you can wait for dip before buying with the lump sum. But it's always better not to wait for a perfect timing before buying because you don't control the market.

Using leverage to DCA faster is simply a bad idea because when someone uses leverage, they significantly increase the risk that if the market moves against them, all their invested money will be liquidated.

Just don't use leverage for DCA. Even if the leverage you use is very low, the market can still drop significantly, and when that happens, your position could be wiped out, and you could lose everything.

It's best to invest with personal funds that are truly ready to be invested, that you buy Bitcoin consistently and build your wealth in your non-custodial wallet. Even if it's slower, at least when the market drops, your position won't be threatened, and you can hold it for the long term.

There's no time to consider waiting for the dip no matter the amount of money on your possession. A new investor or a low coiner should not have any excuse of waiting for the dip because what if the dip did not come, you will be busy waiting in the ball park when you are suppose to be buying and increasing your bitcoin portfolio overtime.

When you wait for the dip, your bitcoin investment will be stagnant and in the long run, you will end up having little bitcoin because you have been busy waiting and watching instead of accumulating bitcoin as fast as possible with your discretionary and keep you DCA ongoing every week. Buying only at the dip should be discouraged by a no coiner and some still in their early stage of bitcoin.

No matter the amount of money that you keep to buy bitcoin when the price dips is not lump sum, it's called buying at the dip. In lump sum, you don't wait for the price of bitcoin, you buy right away irrespective of the price of bitcoin. Let's not come up with practices that will slow our bitcoin portfolio from growing when we have the available resources to increase it at that moment so that you don't regret in future.
