Although these details are not that much to ask but still a KYC process compared to the usual KYC that's being asked to us with ID. But you're right, that some follow ups might happen.
And it can be there to be asked but as long as they're not asking for it, that's even nicer.
I don't really mind minimal KYC(Mobile number, Location etc) to be honest since they aren't crazy invasive details and it's easy to submit them without thinking too much about the consequences.
On the other hand, asking for advanced KYC such as face scan, ID proof, address proof etc are extremely invasive details and should be submitted only if absolutely necessary.
Everything is absolutely true!
If the casino simply asks to provide a minimum of data about the player, such as his mobile phone number or email address, that is, exactly what you called the minimum KYC, then such actions by the casino cannot be considered completely incorrect or unnecessary. But this data, in my opinion, does not constitute a full KYC check. Especially if the casino only needs an email address. This data, like the phone number, does not allow one to reliably identify the player. And this is convenient for the players themselves. There is no need to present your personal data and photos of documents to anyone unknown. This kind of complete KYC, I think, will push many players away from the casino.
By the way, the recent introduction of mandatory strict KYC on the Binance exchange immediately reduced the number of its users by at least half, although their CEO CZ does not publicly admit this. But that's exactly how it is.
If minimal data is sufficient for BK8, then this is correct and is always welcomed by players, especially those who are afraid to once again give complete and detailed information about themselves.
