I am not sure that all people know how to backup and secure their 2FA code appropriately.
- When you activate your 2FA, you have two options, scan the QR code or manually type (or copy and paste the long chain of 2FA secret phrase). I would like to use the second one.
- Copy and paste that phrase for your 2FA back up. Test the backup usability instantly when you activate your 2FA. Some people don't test its usability and if they make typoes or mistakenly, unintentionally delete one or few characters in backup file, they will not be able to recover their 2FA.
- Open support ticket to recover 2FA is not bad but it takes time, and you won't control your account as you should do.
- Don't store your 2FA secret code online and in unencrypted file.
