I am not defending Ver, but your arguments sound ridiculous.
Yeah nobody here (or not really very many people) are saying Ver is a cool dude but at the same time nobody thinks he should be in prison for the rest of his life over the failure to pay taxes. That's just wrong as its a non-violent crime, IMHO anyway.
They clearly wanted to make an example from him, same like they did with Ross Ulbricht.
That being said, Ross Ulbricht is now supporting Roger Ver, and I guess some people here would like to see them both in prison for the rest of their lives
