I don't see how this helps bitcoin in anyway. In fact the involvement of any politician with Bitcoin shouldn't be news and shouldn't be reported at all. We know their intentions. Once they clench power, they'll resume their direct and sponsored attack on Bitcoin. For those who have the technical knowledge and expertise of Bitcoin, please I encourage you to keep creating decentralized and privacy software tools that would shield us from these politicians so that they cannot reach us once they win and reveal their true colors.
The effect of this political move on Bitcoin might not be big, but this kind of news promotes the coin. The knowledge that a leading presidential aspirant is associating himself with Bitcoin gives the currency more publicity and possible adoption. However, his intention is just to accept donations nothing more. Politicians are like chameleons that keep changing based on circumstances, so they cannot be trusted.
If you want to give your money to a liar and convicted felon, go ahead. You're just throwing your money away, though. That selfish piece of shit isn't going to do anything for you even if he did get re-elected. And he's probably going to jail and won't be able to run for president anyway.
Trump is a hero to core Republicans. To them, Trump is their savior and is persecuted by the democrats to diminish his chances of winning the elections. Biden is the better evil because I will never vote for an unapologetic racist.
