They say a rat will eat his own kids and I believe any politician will do the same. During that past elections many of the politicians made huge promises when they got near to the election and some of them were supporting Trump, but when he was elected... they faded away into the shadows and Trump made all the calls. 

These people will use any technology to get their hands on "money"... so do not expect them to support it, once they get into positions of power. They will use this technology and spit it out, once they reached their goals.... and it does not matter to them, where it came from. 

It is true that the election is approaching and he is using every means to get people's votes, and whether he really supports cryptocurrency or not is still a question mark. But what's wrong with someone changing their opinion after a while, after taking the time to learn about it? Even many investors on this forum, who are bitcoin maximalists were skeptical and distrustful of bitcoin in the early days of hearing about it. I myself was the one who refused to invest in bitcoin when I first heard about it, simply because at that time we had not learned about it and did not know what it was, so it was normal for us not to be interested. Or even the CEO of blackrock or Michael J. Saylor used to despise bitcoin but now they are the investors holding the majority of bitcoin.

If yesterday he claimed to hate bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but today he suddenly said he was very interested in them, it would be a blatant lie. But it's been 5 years, and that time is not short.

It helps give mainstream exposure to Bitcoin. Especially with a high profile politician as Donald Trump. I know the Lightning Network is flawed, but it's at least a good way to drive the masses into BTC. With due time, the LN should be able to improve until it becomes a "force to reckon with". We need as many pro-crypto politicians in Bitcoin as possible.

Of course. Some of them publicly claim their support for BTC just to gather votes. Once they're in power, they totally forget about it. Just like how Argentina's Javier Milei forgot about Bitcoin. Was he able to abolish the Argentine Central Bank? No. Was he able to replace the Argentine Peso with either the USD or BTC? No. The same thing could happen with Donald Trump after he's re-elected for President of the United States. Who knows?

Because someone said crypto people like him, that's it. What people do not understand is that Trump has exactly ONE thing in his mind, being loved and he is in the wrong business for that, but you get to see how many people love him, and that's what he wants.

He is aware that republicans do, and he disliked crypto as his honest opinion, but because of what happened with Gensler and SEC, the "opposition" to him ended up getting crypto people disgruntled, so he is taking this time to make crypto something he always liked, which is a lie as we can obviously see, but we are going to see him promote his crypto stuff constantly, so that he could get some more love. It is not votes he wants, it is admiration and worship that he desires more than anything.

Actually it's a part of politics that you have to agree on everything that will ultimately make their political image more strong and adorable. It's not only the case with Trump but in every country there are politicians and almost all of them use the same techniques to make their political image better.

Once Trump was against the crypto currency market and now he see youth being so much involved so he changed his perspective.

That's right, not just Mr. Trump, any politician will use any trick if they see its potential to help them achieve their goals. But the more important thing that people are ignoring is that we only have two options: Trump and Biden. We still don't know how Trump will treat bitcoin and cryptocurrency after being elected, whether he is really as friendly to it as he says. But with what Biden is doing, he proposes to increase taxes on miners, he supports the SEC to confront cryptocurrencies by vetoing the SAB 21 bill. The world economy is still mired in inflation and shows no signs of cooling under President Biden.

This man is so cunning and he can use all the resources to win elections and to raise funds I don't understand how foolish people can be they are donating for campaign of someone who is already an elite and billionaire. Is it so easy to fool people? He is just using Bitcoin for his personal goals and don't forget once he was against it. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Trump would accept even bitconnect if that would have any value at all, give the idiot some testnet coins as I doubt in his new found love fro bitcoin he has spent one second researching what Bitcoin is and why it matters.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink also used to be against Bitcoin only to change his stance a few months ago. Same goes with other wealthy and prominent figures in the mainstream world. They're realizing the true benefits Bitcoin provides. It would be dumb to reject something that's becoming increasingly-popular each day.

At least, Trump is smart by accepting BTC donations. Has Biden done the same? He doesn't even understand what crypto/Blockchain tech is. Since the current administration has regulated the crypto industry with a "heavy hand", crypto voters will seek other candidates who'll put their interests first. Both Donald Trump and RFK Jr. are the ticket for widespread adoption of crypto in America. We need pro-crypto politicians in the USA to help stimulate the growth of this nascent industry. Not the other way around. We'll see how successful Trump's venture will be. Who knows what will happen after Election Day?
