Whether Bitcoin or altcoins are the best choice depends on what a person has in mind. Everyone will have different financial goals and targets, and they should be able to do enough research to conclude being able to choose the asset type that best suites their needs.

Bitcoin can't be beaten if someone needs an asset that they can buy and hold for the long term so that their investment can grow over time and they don't care about short-term price volatilities.

However, those who are looking for quick profits, who can't wait for years or months before they see their investment grow but need to earn money quickly so that they can either spend or use it to multiply their capital, should go for altcoins due to their nature being more volatile when compared to Bitcoin.

If we compare bitcoin with shitcoin, it is clear and certain that bitcoin is much better than shitcoin. Because bitcoin is an investment asset that we can completely trust, it has been proven that to date bitcoin has not disappointed anyone who faithfully invests in it. So if we talk about crypto investments, bitcoin is definitely number one. But I also can't say that investing in shitcoins is bad, because if we can analyze shitcoins carefully, we can have a little chance of making a profit. But as you say, shitcoins do have quite a big risk. So if we invest in shitcoins, we definitely have to be prepared to lose money. Because investing in shitcoins is the same as risking our assets.

But if for example we are lucky, the profits we get from investing in shitcoins can usually be very large. Because most shitcoins have really cheap prices, so even with not too much capital, if you're lucky you can double your money. But even so, investing in shitcoins is not recommended by most people (crypto traders or investors). So in essence, shitcoin investment is only intended for people who are ready to lose their money, are good at analyzing the market, and also have high mental readiness. So if you want to invest safely, doing DCA on bitcoin is the solution. Invest on what you can afford to lose as always on which this is something the primary or golden rule when you do tend to dive or would really be planning to have some dealing with crypto investments which we know that it's volatile and unpredictable.This is really that survival of the fittest and to those can't be able to bare out about the risks involved then this market isn't for you.

Let's face it you can't get rich from buying and holding bitcoin. 10-15 years ago yes but not now. That's why people opt for altcoins.

Buying bitcoin currently, more like running at a loss because the market is filled with high tension of volatility which is not good for the system. 10-15 years ago, bitcoin was valued low and gives opportunities for people to bagged it in huge quantities but most people underestimate the project, because crypto was yet to break through into the limelight. Forward to today, Bitcoin is important for the pressing survival of most investors, probably referring to the longterm bitcoin holders, they're eating the fruits of their hard earned labor. Hence, Only the strong survives in the space, it's either you go hard or go home. Getting rich from bitcoin would be possible if we're holding on bitcoin during the bear season, I know it's been really a rough one for vast majority of these traders. Altocins are one of the basics of cryptocurrency and the presence of altcoin sectors generates more traffic and brings about popularity.

The choice is yours to make, is either you choose to jump on the high risk with anticipating results of profits, or you remain with the more stable assets like Bitcoin, although the resultant profits differs in significant proportion, while altcoins are which risk and high rewards, Bitcoin on the other hand is low risks but with low profits, since the price of Bitcoin is quite high and expensive to be able to accumulate the needed Satoshis that could trigger a higher profit turn over when and if the market goes in upward directions.

Shit coin investment is risky but it shares a lot of profit among the investors which is why people invest here more. Altcoin investment gives high amount of profit in short period of time due to which investors invest here to earn more profit even though it is risky but still investors invest here. I think altcoin investment is not risky for short term but it is very risky when it can be held for long term. In particular I invested in altcoins a few months ago instead of bitcoins and the price of those coins did not rise but fell and I am among the losers. Although still a lot of loss in my investment but I hold it may not be possible for me to recover from here and I have to face losses from here. In that case I think it is best to invest in bitcoin as it is risk free and very good profit can be made from bitcoin in future.

This discussion looks like something that will never end, criticisms from Bitcoin lovers is what I can't stand, I am into Bitcoin and altcoins, so far since 2017 altcoins have given me the biggest return, many BTC maxis don't like hearing this but it is the truth, a $100 invested in fantom turned $60,000, gone are the days when Bitcoin could do such.

I understand that it is not too late to get some Bitcoin, but someone buying Bitcoin at 50k now isn't as great as someone who bought Bitcoin for $1 each. The fact is this crypto space still brings similar new opportunities to us, why not just embrace the new opportunities as well? As a Bitcoin beginner, you need to do good research, ask questions, understand the difference between open source and closed source, etc, are these not deep research?
