There are more risky methods like staking but I dont recommend them. Investing in companies that are legitimately doing some work is also a good thing, but options are limited.
Bitcoin is Proof of Work and no way to stake Bitcoin if you don't purchase Wrapped Bitcoin tokens and use them for staking. Staking can help to get staking reward but there is big risk, that these tokens will lose pegs to Bitcoin price and sum of your initial capital and earning from staking suddenly becomes zero in value.
I would like to simply hold my bitcoin, wait for price growth than taking too much risk with Wrapped Bitcoin tokens and staking programs with a worst terrible ending, is losing all money.
It is best if you divide that capital into bitcoin and some traditional assets, the latter are not bad on the contrary to what members of this forum might think.
In cryptocurrency market, I will decentralized my fund to Bitcoin and Ethereum. For traditional asset, maybe only real estate, one for my home, one for Airbnb, not more. Gold is not in my consideration because gold can not compare to Bitcoin in ROI.
