But one thing I'm super sure is that, if we consider the number of years it took the world to migrate from the trade-by-bata system to the fiat moneystery system of trade and now to the digital currency Bitcoin, it's going to take a very long time to witness another innovation and technology in this manner that will supersede Bitcoin if there's ever going to be another one.
Yes, it takes quite a while to see innovation or change in the world but there is always a difference at each stage of world development. We should not think that it took the world thousands of years to move from a barter system to a fiat system, and hundreds of years to move from fiat to digital currency, and that it will take hundreds of years for a new technology to replace bitcoin. That is not true.
Like the bamboo tree, during the first 3 to 5 years of its life, it focuses on developing its root system and shows little to no visible growth above the ground. But after 3 years, the tree's root system is strong enough, it only takes 2 to 3 months for the bamboo tree to grow 10-20m tall. Likewise, once the world has a solid technological foundation, it will develop at a speed beyond our imagination.
Honestly, with the way technology is evolving today, it is difficult to say anything about the future of digital currency. They can evolve to a new level or can be replaced.
