Yeah its finally confirmed that he actually sold instead of just moving his coins to a safer wallet. Many assumed he was sending the coins to a newer type of wallet instead of the old style address incase of Quantum computing attacks but I guess he sold his position.
Wondering if word will ever actually come out and we find out who it was? Its truly a legend to hold that much money and sell after all these years. I think he was an early miner and perhaps sold from time to time and finally wanted to just retire already.
He held for 14 years and finally decided to sell, such level of patience should be emulated. Don't forget that he started holding bitcoin when the future was uncertain and held throughout the various stages of fud, crackdown and all manners of attack on bitcoin, he is a real strong hand. One more thing, that amount is definitely not the only bitcoin he has, so nothing wrong with him selling some of his bitcoin.
I still want to be sure about who he is.
For sure, holding for such a long period of time is sign of a good determination
or force majeur: coins from a scam, or blocked by authorities, now willing to recover some fund.
