I have thought many times to inscribe BTC logo on one or two of my plain shirts, or maybe put the BTC logo on a white mug in my house, but i fail to do it because of the attention it would attract to me. I don't want to be encumbered with questions from visitors, neither do i want to recommend BTC to people i know are looking for get rich quick schemes.
If you lost or are losing that much money, then you should be worried. Probably not to worry about the money that is lost, but as to why you lost so much money. Was it through scam, poor security or what other thing? I never agree with the notion that it is okay to lose money, especially when there are things one can do to avoid that.

Looking back on those times, it's funny because we shouldn't have any responsibility to educate others about Bitcoin, but subconsciously, we were so eager to educate others about it. But at a certain point, it can work perfectly when individuals are willing to see the opportunity and don't rely solely on others, because then the demand can grow naturally. Usually, people blame us when they experience losses, and that's why people don't want to educate others about Bitcoin in general, but what you've experienced is the opposite.

Providing education to others about Bitcoin is indeed good as long as they are willing to implement it because of the several people I have met in the past, only a few of them are currently consistently involved in investing and the rest find excuses because of the limited capital they have which limits their involvement in it.

I also have those people that have talked to me and when they have failed with their holdings because they didn't hold, they've blamed me. But the fact that I've told them to hold and the market is highly volatile, they have to understand that it's going to be a roller coaster ride. And when the market has fallen, they put all the blame to me and they're not talking to me anymore and so I am. People always want to have instant of things where they don't want to take things seriously and do it patiently. I'm no longer friends with them and that's fine for me.

The truth is, I have most times withhold certain information, especially those that are financially related because of the willingness of others that you pointed out in your statement above. Educating and passing out information isn't actually the big deal, the big deal lies with the person who is receiving that information, and what he/she is willing to do with it. Some people today were once informed about Bitcoin. They often enjoyed the conversation, _{because of course, Bitcoin's discussions are always interesting}, but the problem is they just lack that willingness to invest in it.

And like you said, some people's lack of willingness might be lack of capital, but from the majority I have seen, it has always been scepticism/sceptical related issues. They are most times not fully convinced.

Bitcoin is now more popular compare to 2017, many who called bitcoin a scam have no more reason to keep saying so even when they failed to do their own research, they don't have a reason to call it a scam anymore, even President Trump is now all over it.

Which makes me believe that gone are those days where you are actually helping to create awareness by hosting some gathering or visiting a local school nearby to teach about Bitcoin and the blockchain.

I did this few times in the past but I had more bad experience than good, I ended up creating more enemies for myself than I hoped for, my job was quit easy but my fellow country men and women have their own ways of digesting words and lessons.

Today I have people who don't talk to me anymore and I believe the fault was never mine, I did my part very well, I warned them about software wallets and how they can consider electrum for a time being.

Three of them got their wallet compromised, one lost his bitcoin to a wrong address, I guess clipboard hijacking, these aren't just people, they are friends and family member, but there is one who did all the necessary things and still a holder till date, I wish I can turn back the hands of time and never sit anyone down to teach them anything.

I look like super hero because Trump is supporting Bitcoin, if kamala won the election and the news was Bitcoin had to go, they would have come for me because it looks like they are waiting for such day to come.
