It is important that people don't have high expectations because nothing is certain.  Nobody knows what the future holds,  hence telling people no to expect ro much should be a must. Due to the hypes on different platforms showcasing the crypto industry as a get-rich-quick scheme, people usually see Bitcoin as a means to get rich easily and fast.

I  find it more comfortable to discuss the privacy and decentralised feature of Bitcoin to newbies than the investment aspect. But the most attractive part to most people is to make money.

In fact, if anything, I'm very much glad I talked to them in the first place and they rejected it. Down the line some of them found interest in Bitcoin from other materials or those around them who sang it into their ears like national anthems, they're now confessing to me how they missed out. If I didn't alert them when I started, I would've felt bad if they found out I had an idea what Bitcoin was but refused to share that information with them. All of them would be blaming me till date for making them miss out.

If only the mind works that way, then it would have been an easy resolve but no, we all hope to see those we introduce into a trade to find a higher degree of success within it, isn’t it.

Such is the case when you introduce someone into Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies as a whole. Being a volatile space, even with fair warning, you wouldn’t find an anxious individual without mistakes. They would certainly come by some of it and each time, you would be the reference point to have introduced them. Such is the weight upon the heart of everyone who leads or shows the way. Awful!

Reality is, if one is really determined to invest, he will do everything and gather sufficient information that would make his investment works and become profitable. But for some greedy individuals who are lazy to make some researches but would easily believe on bitcoin successful stories, they will invest their life savings and expect quick profits, only to realize they only lose their money to bitcoin. And they will look for people to blame to, as they can’t accept that bitcoin can make your money vanish instantly when you invest blindly.

It was just a fleeting feeling, but I actually see you doing a favor for your friend by telling him about BTC, not scaring him and telling him not to buy it. Just so you know, even my friends my age didn't even know or even hear about BTC. But you confidently told your friends who had the funds at the time to buy it immediately.

What's interesting is that crypto has now entered the mainstream of the global financial architecture, including BTC. We just have to wait for the signal. Previously, many financial regulators before were skeptical, especially in the regulatory realm. But don't worry, many updates will soon be visible, and they will begin to accept the fact that blockchain technology is becoming increasingly important in the financial world.

Maybe you didn't get the point. He already explained the reason for such behaviour by them. He stated, if you read down, that why he taught about bitcoin, some family and friends that got interested about bitcoin invested into bitcoin, and at a long run, because they misplaced there keys and/or lost there bitcoin to a wrong wallet. He mentioned the effect of clipboard on wrong copying of address and all of that. So they got really mad at him and it led to enermity because the three he mentioned couldn't reap from the investment since they lost there bitcoin by mistake.

So they feel it was his fault, introducing them to something quite risky as such, considering the fact that they have saved and invested there money for the time they invested in Bitcoin. Quite painful though, but u wasn't your fault at all. They should have learnt from there mistakes and do better next time.

For me, I have not really introduced anyone into bitcoin or carry out a special class for such knowledge. So I have no regret whatsoever. Just accumulation and hoping for a good price of bitcoin at the market

My golden rule is to never give financial advice to friends and family. It doesn't matter if the financial advice is about Bitcoin, crypto, stocks, real estate or whatever. Those people are going to make mistakes and they are going to put the blame on you, so just don't give financial advice to anyone.
Nowadays, Bitcoin is more popular than ever and there's plenty of info about BTC all over the internet. There's no point of hosting local meetings and raising awareness about BTC. If the people want to learn more about Bitcoin and crypto in general., they could just search the internet.

I have a friend that knew of Bitcoin through me because at some point I used to wear Bitcoin branded clothing when I was home and whenever I got visitors they asked what the "B" was all about as it looked symbolic of something and got this question alot , but unfortunately one of my buddies having an idea of Bitcoin through the chats we had, he fell victim to these invest x amount and get back 10x the amount and he went in with some of his business capital of which we all know the ending...this money never returned and he blamed me for not warning ⚠️ him over such scams and never talked for some years but he came around and is a big boy in crypto now...happy ending I guess.

That was the first thing came to my mind when I was reading the story. And at the end those who's wallets were compromised was not his fault, so there was no need for them to take him had their enemy unless he didn't tell them the precautions of the investment. Though he would feel bad but to the extent of enemy is not really a good one.
If they don't know anything, since he was their Coach in the investment, they would have asked him what to do instead of doing it by themselves and look at coins. Frankly Speaking it is not good to introduce Bitcoin to someone that is uneducated or ignorant of the development. Let it be that the person you are introducing to the Bitcoin should have formal education and probably heard the name of bitcoin.
