OP, this website exists since 2025 and I haven't said any welcome, so I'll start this post with the welcome and I won't go into details how the website works. It seems to be working fine because you have 4 positive trust rating from DT members.
Anyways, I want to focus about the fact that on your Resume, I see that you mention two times that you don't use Cloudflare. Privacy-oriented people distrust websites that use Cloudflare and it's right that you touched that point, you really don't use Cloudflare but at the same time, as I see, you use bunny.net, which is an alternative of Cloudflare. You are still using a third party. Is bunny significantly better than Cloudflare for privacy-oriented users? I ask this because you promote no-cloudflare thing. I know that when it comes to speed, it's better.
Thats a valid point. Bunny.net is still a third party service, and I dont want to pretend otherwise.
The reason I deliberately avoid Cloudflare isnt just because its a third party CDN. Its more about my overall philosophy on privacy and how much data Im willing to entrust to a large infrastructure provider.
Bunny.net also acts as a reverse proxy, so technically, it can see a visitors IP address while handling a connection. The difference is that Bunny places greater emphasis on minimizing and anonymizing this data, including anonymizing IP addresses in logs and allowing them to be completely removed from the logs.
So I wouldnt say, Bunny doesnt see your IP address. That wouldnt be true. Id rather say that Bunny is a more privacy oriented CDN solution than Cloudflare, even though its still a third party service.
If someones standard is I dont want any third party involved at all, then Bunny obviously doesnt meet that standard either. In that case, you should use our TOR site, which is also available 24/7.
So the note no Cloudflare in my resume specifically refers to not using Cloudflare. This is not meant to suggest that I dont use third pparty infrastructure at all. Bunny is a compromise that provides me with the benefits of a CDN while keeping the impact on privacy relatively low.
Since this exchange is about piracy and you run this service, I assume you are someone who at least knows a thing or two in piracy, so I'll ask you this question and I'll be glad if I get an answer from you.
In order to register a website on CloudFlare or even on Bunny, you, the owner of the website, need to reveal a thing or two about you. You can't do it via Tor because they block every tor request and if I am not wrong, even Protonmail can be a problem. So, your only option is VPN, which these services allow to be used to register on their website.
My question is that, just the fact to register on Cloudflare or Bunny to add your website, isn't it a risky move for the website owner? In case there is an investigation in the future?
