@bitsrace only asking for a username and password to register is nice, but i could not find an option in the settings to add an email afterward.
it's probably a good idea to let users add their emails after if they want. i mean, how will someone who forgot their password or username be able to recover their account?
I think the username name can function as the email position. If you forget your password, you can input your username to reset it on their page and not to your email again. Before they use only username and password they have tried it out. And I also believe they are trying to be users anonymous. They believe in privacy.
that would not be safe, usernames on bitsrace can be between 3 and 20 characters, and even if they are hidden in the bets tab, short usernames can still easily be brute forced, so that would be a terrible idea.
adding an email would be the simplest and most effective solution for password reset/account recovery, another option that would keep maximum privacy is if they add a secret recovery code, but if someone loses that, their account would be lost, and since players would have balance on the website, it's best to keep things simple with an email.
