All Bitcoiners have forgotten how scary it is for those who want to invest in Bitcoin but know next to nothing at this stage. There are so many complex technical concepts, and if a newbie hears them, they're afraid to trust their money to invest in Bitcoin because they think they're vulnerable until they fully understand everything. I'm always amazed at how laziness can control the actions of quite intelligent people. My friend is an excellent tech specialist, a true geek who loves IT and anything unusual.
Yet, he's lazy. One time, I cautiously decided to find out what he thought about crypto and Bitcoin, and he told me it was a pyramid scheme. This guy, who knows how torrenting works, is proficient in CAD, and knows how to build websites, believes this technology is a trap. I didn't say anything to him, but simply felt an internal facepalm.
Apparently, at some point, he trusted social media publics and decided not to look into blockchain, lazily blocking his brain.
