guys, i'm always excited to see new sign-ups - big thanks for that!!!
we have exactly one week left until the deadline and we only need two more participants to reach 20 - which will allow us to accept places #4 and #5 for additional prizes after this season
the following users, who participated last year but haven't signed up for the new season yet, are:

i'd be really happy to have you all back and maybe we can pull it off and set a new record for the number of participants this time. that would be great and make it even more fun!

no, not yet
in 22/23 we had 21 participants, then in 23/24 we had as many as 29 (which is the current highest number so far), followed by another 21 participants in the 24/25 season and 22 participants in the most recent 25/26 season.
so, in any case, we should aim to reach at least 20 so that we might just reach 30 in the final rush

Nice to see that people continue to join pool. Considering that very likely it will be only sponsored pool this year, I expect to see record numbers joining. Not sure how cygan managed to get such great deal when all others are struggling so much. And I doubt that he will reveal secret Cheesy.
We had season opener today - Franz Beckenbauer Supercup between Dortmund and Bayern. Bayern took it once again. In first half it looked that their win might be big because Dortmund didn't even made any shots, but 2nd half was a bit more difficult, what was good for neutral spectators or for those who are hatewatching Bayern. And in very end Beier had such crazy good opportunity to equalize score, but he missed it.

Best of luck mate

But go for at least top 4, eh?

I'm in!

@rdluffy no worries, only two spots left for you from 18th to 20th since one of them is already booked for me It's embarrassing how I have been doing in the Bundesliga pools given that I am from there and I should know a couple of things about it, lol. Since I performed badly consistently, it is no high time to prove that it was just luck running against me

The Super Cup was not what I was hoping for. What a kindergarten game for Bayern, full control almost all of the time and this is essentially a pre-season game. As I said elsewhere, Bayern going to be 12-15 points ahead after half the season will have been played.

Regarding this, there's a question I don't fully understand. It's the last one:

All teams can be selected, maybe it was also there last season but I can't recall what is it about?

we call it 'hinrunde' (first half of the season) and after that, the 'herbstmeister'” (after the completion of the 17th matchday) is unofficially crowned
the 2nd half is called: 'rückrunde'

@1: no, the teams that finish in 16th through 18th place at the end of the season
@2: this is where the german champion is determined at the end of the season - it has nothing to do with the half-season...
