Sorry, are all the available gold in circulation registered? Or are they supposed to be registered? How about the gold watches, braclets, jewelries, who registered them in which data base.
There are illegal miners...sorry, why did I call them illegal if the gold is found in their land?
All formally mined gold has a hallmark, which is a special numbers that certify its purity and authenticity. Not all gold has this stamp since the informal industry also mines gold.

In most countries, gold mining is reserved for the government and state backed organizations. Mining without government approval is illegal even if you are in possession of the land. Can you drill crude oil because its a free gift of nature?
In an organized society where all the lands and houses are registered, real estate could be verified. But as you said, Bitcoin is the easiest and fastest to verify. Verifying a property can take a long time; for example, in my country, three working days.
Real Estate has high level difficulty in verifying. In my country people buy lands in dispute, criminals sell people's land, land grabbers forcefully take people's properties. It is risky and not easily verifyable.
In some countries, you could verify properties through a government website. Your country was not my case study. I know that some countries are highly disorganized that you cant have access to real estate information easily.
