Well Im not saying that its wrong for wanting to make a profit from investing in Bitcoin, because in the long run everyone wanna make a profit. But the most important thing should be not allowing your desire for profit become the sole reason for investing in Bitcoin or hodling it, because the market can get really volatile and price can go from this to this in an instant.
For me, I pretty much believe that understanding what Im actually holding makes it a lot more easier for me to stay committed, especially when the price isnt moving in my favour.
Whether you admit it or not, the truth is profit is probably the biggest reason most of us are here and still holding Bitcoin.
Without the volatility and the profit, idk how many of us would even care about it or still be around by now tbh.
Bitcoin's volatility doesn't really scare people off either. If anything, it makes them even more interested, cuz they can use those swings to make bigger profits. That's also why when Bitcoin gets more stable and the profit range starts getting smaller, a lot of people start getting disappointed.
