I'm for 50/50 Because of how I am with my finances.
It is good to diversify your portfolio, leave some cash hanging around, put some into investment and then 50% into bitcoin. It is still good to put more % into bitcoin as it depends on your worth.
One thing that will make me not want Bitcoin as my emergency funds is because from my own perspective emergency funds is something you can lean on any time.
Let's say you had an actual emergency during the bear season and all your Bitcoin is kinda trapped in the market in a value !esser than what you bought at, you can't sell because doing that will be a huge loss for you. This reason is why I won't want to put Bitcoin in that category.
That's the thing since bear season is surely going to hit hard if you buy it at a wrong market price right? If you have a lot of leverage since you bought the Bitcoin at a low market price then you could probably make it work, Im thinking about it since it's still a risk if you make your emergency funds as Bitcoin you might probably lose some percentage if you are forced to sell at the wrong timing during the emergency but since it is also a right, it might be the opposite since you might force to sell at a good timing and you end up making more money right?
It might make sense since you are still holding your emergency funds but it was just on Bitcoin technically you didn't give up your emergency funds, as inflation hits it just makes me think if it is worth taking more risk on Bitcoin rather than holding more emergency cash.
What do you think? If you are going to diversify, what's your strategy?
Emergency funds are still important for life, I'm kinda maxi into
BTC. But, I will not put all my money 100% in
BTC. As for the emergency fund itself, I have set it up by allocating my full salary for one year. So, if my monthly salary is $500, I would build an emergency fund totaling $6,000. After that, I'm free to decide whether or not to put the rest of my money entirely into
BTC. My conclusion is that there is no exact percentage for cash or
BTC, an emergency fund is paramount amidst
BTC price volatility.
For sure this was still the best thing to do long term since there was no guaranteed on Bitcoin investment, we are even not sure if Bitcoin is still going to exist in the coming years so it's still a good thing to still stack up or save cash for long term emergencies, maybe change of plan? complete that emergency funds and then invest it all on Bitcoin, I do not mean to make it your Bitcoin investment, it is still your emergency you just convert it on Bitcoin and put it on seperate wallet?
