I was actually thinking the same, because after killing them I don't think if they will still have access to those wallets unless they have already taken the seed phrase before they killed them. If not that they can't gain access to their wallets, and yeah it's a stupidity in the highest order.


For sure, I see reasons why we need to discuss more about privacy because the rate at which people are being scam nowadays is so alarming and I'm beginning to feel that they were not taught about privacy because if they had know the importance of privacy, definitely they wouldn't have shared any of their assets or documents in the media or give out their KYC details to malicious sites.

I don't think that knowing about Bitcoin can make such person a good person. You can never know much about people until you are close to them. A person can know about Bitcoin very well and still be a bad person. A person can be bad person and may not know about Bitcoin and vice versa. The thing about robbery is that people that involved in it have intention to kill because they know that no matter how small thing they steal from people, if they are caught, they can get killed.

Last week here, some people hack liquid network and stole 4000 Bitcoin, they claimed to be white heart hackers and have returned 3400 and kept 600, they don't want to return the rest. I don't care what anybody will say but that's day light robbery. They claimed they help protect the network which is a good thing but to keep 400 Bitcoin is much. I don't think the company will be able to survive such, yet they say they have good intentions.

If a centralized platform like an exchange leaks your information, for example, if you do a KYC on that platform, I mean, I do some of the KYC on exchanges because it was just needed, and it was probably one of the convenience way to withdraw my funds if I wanted to since the P2P is usually the best way to do it, so I have no choice, also to buy Bitcoin if you are going to buy at some marketplace and then after that you can send it to your main wallet, then that comes the privacy issue again.

I mean holding a huge amount might be a huge problem I guess since you need to protect yourself from anything or wrench attack, whatever wallet security it is, it's obviously going to mean nothing since anyone can forced you do send your wallet to anyone, you security might be useless, hiring a bodyguard or living on a safe place might just be the way since your holding huge amount of money it's natural to have some security even though you are not some kind of famous person atleast.

It is now left for those that does not want to listen to anybody advice, they say experience is the best teacher, they will learn their lessons in a hard way and through mistakes from the exchange without being able to refund their losses .

Saving your funds on an exchange left you with a high risk of losing your funds at any point in time. Living a private life remains the best that nobody knows your asset or what you are worth in other to attack you, it does not draw attention and be careful of the things you buy and where pyou go for shopping and other of your activities.

I am pretty sure that you can get killed over owning millions of dollars worth anything, especially in a countries that have most violent areas by homicide rate. Like Mexico.

I have said in the past that you shouldn't tell anyone that you are into bitcoin or cryptos, because you never know how much they are worth in the future.
But i honestly doubt that you are in immediate danger since criminals who want bitcoin want to focus their attention towards people who actually own millions of it.

This is a matter of concern. Because no one knows about sudden accident then bitcoin holding will be inactive forever . So I think that there must be one person in the family who is trustworthy, who you can at least share this matter with . Because ultimately, people hold Bitcoin for their own and their family financial security.

In families where there are many members together, there is no rule that all the members have to be informed. The owner of the Bitcoin, whoever he personally considers trustworthy, maybe his wife or child who is mature enough, can tell him about the Bitcoin holding. If that trustworthy person may know about bitcoin holding , he will not get access to the wallet. it is advisable to provide some guidance the location of the seed phrase , so that if the Bitcoin owner suddenly dies, his family can get its benefits.

When a person sacrifices and keeps the needs of his family members unfulfilled for creates assets like bitcoin for a long time, the purpose of it must be so that the family members can get the benefits in the future. And a child or wife has enough right to get his father or hubby's property. So it would not be right to not inform anyone at all. It should be shared with a trusted family member.

Just being rich you’re a target for people who wants to steal from you, let’s assume someone is rich, there are criminals who wants to steal from you no matter the part of the world you come from, which is why most people who are rich have security, so if you own millions of dollars and you’re wealthy you need to provide adequate security for yourself else you’re gone.

However in the aspect of bitcoin you need to keep it private because you don’t have to trust anyone, privacy is something we should be taking seriously as we’re investing in bitcoin, you have to be careful who you tell that you have bitcoins in your possession, and where you also discuss about bitcoin with your friends.

There was a day I went to the bank to do some transactions, I was sitting with some young guys, who was discussing about bitcoin with his friends, he was bragging with his friends telling them how much bitcoin is in his possession, I was quite surprised, which I think it was totally wrong, and he showed them his wallets for evidence, that was a very wrong move because they don’t know if there is a criminal sitting there who can attack them to rob them of their bitcoin, because you don’t know people’s true mindset sometimes, we just have to be careful out there with how we flaunt wealth and our assets.

Bitcoin holding should be number one in terms of privacy as we have noticed that Bitcoin holders are being robbed these days for the slightest information leak. Therefore, anyone who owns Bitcoin should not discuss their Bitcoin holdings in public to be honest everyone probably knows this Hackers find every possible vulnerability on the internet and th they attack homes to get hold of those crypto assets. It is true that the Liquid hackers have returned about 3400 Bitcoins out of the 4000 Bitcoins they stole through the Elements bug but they still have 598.49 Bitcoins.

Also a few days ago I noticed another thing that a Singaporean man has confessed to a huge crypto heist in the US Melon Lam along with his frids stole about $245 million worth of bitcoins, at this stage we all should understand that sensitive information about bitcoin holdings should not be shared with anyone.

Additionally, we all seem like wealth is easy to conceal. You cannot disguise the quantity of money you are going to have. Whether it's Bitcoin or Fiat. Even if you don't go public with your wealth, people will notice it based on your actions. Because you begin to explore areas that only the wealthy are able to afford. You begin using technologies and toys that only the privileged can buy. You cannot deprive yourself of these items since they are the only way to appreciate your wealth.

For myself, if you own a significant sum of money in bitcoin and are concerned about being assaulted, why not obtain yourself solid security measures that will keep you safe wherever you are? I don't live a life of hiding my wealth just because I don't want nasty individuals to physically injure me. The joy of having money is that you can spend it on whatever you desire and travel wherever you desire.

The issue of privacy always is not new anymore here in the forum and even outside here. Even when it's not Bitcoin, one must not be always showing up and bragging about your financial possession. It draws the mind of wicked people towards your money and some may begin to plan evil and a whole lot of things against you, all geared towards dispossessing you of what you claim to have. The worst part sometimes is that many people suffer as victims of attack when they don't even have much all because of there lifestyle. Even if am not an investor or don't HODL Bitcoin, should I brag and show off the little I have to the world and make some persons feel less important? Everyone must be careful and wise.
