When they try to believe it's just all about luck?   

Others don't understand that because they just look at the history of Bitcoin, which rose from less than a dollar to what it is now, so they think they will experience the same kind of profit, but in reality it's not gonna happen anymore though Bitcoin is still profitable.

Once they understand Bitcoin especially its risks, they will not rely on luck alone but they will manage the risks and will be confident in their long-term investment.

But you cannot expect that from everyone as there are still those who will be affected by FUD and FOMO.

​Well I haven't really heard anyone say that they want to try their luck with investment perhaps this is the first I am hearing about it. But still, that phrase sounds like a lazy man's talk, or perhaps someone who is influenced to invest but has no real interest. Sometimes stuff like this happens though.​For that reason, I see introducing folks who don't have the interest in investing in Bitcoin as a waste of time. One thing you, as an individual should never do is try to convince them. Basically you can't convince someone to invest that's wrong. As a matter of fact, you could get blamed the moment the market dips.​That said in trading, losses are inevitable. You might analyze the market correctly only for the market to go up, touch your TP, before it retests to the direction you were hoping it would. Many events like this take place in the market a lot, so even short term profit is out of the question if you are someone who doesn't have interest or you're looking to get lucky.Overall new investors face a lot of issues, but one thing is certain you can't really determine the outcome of what they will face. Some faces hype, pump and dumps, fake crypto projects, scammers, getting liquidated out of the market because of a lack of understanding, and so on. Overall, it all comes down to their determination and what is driving them. That's all......

If you invest in Bitcoin for a long time, the chances of it being profitable are certainly higher, and if there is a lot less, then investors can hold on to Bitcoin for a long time with minimal risk. If a new investor invests in Bitcoin with his discretionary income, he can certainly hold on to Bitcoin for a long time with a simple plan.
 However, it is best to invest in Bitcoin weekly and you can save on the purchase price, if every investor follows this strategy, it will be easier for him to hold on for a long time and will provide a wide range of benefits.

Well, luck plays a part in investing and business alike. But it doesn't mean investing is just a game of chance.

We can't control everything, but we can control how much capital we put in, how much risk we're willing to take, and strategy we follow. So luck can affect the outcome, but a lot still comes down to the decisions we make.


Again, investing always comes with risk. You can't get rid of it completely, but you can manage it with the right knowledge and strategy. That's the difference between informed investing and gambling on luck alone.

You have a good point, luck is part of life. Anyone that become rich in life, it is about luck despite that such person is smarter and wiser than other people.

But there are things that people should also be careful about. Ledger Nano is a close source wallet which people have not been recommending on this forum. There was a time Coldcard became something that people also warned others that they should no more use it. Those that were hacked did not listen or not following what is happening.

Also why are people using a wallet that has no passphrase? I wish bitcoin wallets have passphrase or I wish if there is a bitcoin protocol that make passphrase mandatory for wallets that are not multisig.

Some people just also made bad choices has been the reason for their bad luck.

If you're talking about crypto in general which includes altcoin and meme coin, then luck is still a part of it because those things are not as reputable and stable as bitcoin is.

If on the other hand you're strictly invested in bitcoin alone, there's little to nothing that luck has to do with your investment journey because everything is dependent on your investment plan and not just on some trial and error kind of thing. Just like any other kind of proper investment, you've got to be intentional about your bitcoin investment and running things purely on luck shows that you're ready to take anything as the outcome of your investment and that you're not a goal oriented investor.

Seeing bitcoin as a try your luck scheme , is like you gambling instead of investing. Some folks tend to approach bitcoin investment the wrong way . Like some kind of getting rich quick scheme , "hearing something like going all in " (someone investing for long-term , shouldn't have such mindset). Instead take your time to plan properly , and treat it professionally.

Try your luck is quite common in the shit/meme coin space . Due to fact that most don't have any purpose they are only fuel by hype and trend .  So for coin with good utility like Bitcoin such statement (try your luck) doesn't fit at all . Bitcoin is investment is more of building and being part of something you believe in .


Is true that meme coin or shitcoin might have changed some folks lives with some 1000x , but that doesn't change the fact that it has ruined more lives too . Just like gambling, thats why trading memecoins falls under gambling category . I'm speaking from experience too , I've involved in meme coin . And it cost me some good resources that's why I stick  with peace of mind which is Bitcoin.

When they keep a high expectation of making profit within a particular time and later get disappointed. Everyone with different expectations and motive as to why they are investing in bitcoin and also some started investment with the wrong narrative about bitcoin because it is mostly believed that if you invest and hold for some time, the price of bitcoin will increase. It is actually true to make profit in bitcoin, but no fixed time to that since the market is very unpredictable and fluctuates, that’s why it is mostly preferred to hold for long term. The time investor will be expecting a bull, the market will be experiencing a dip which get so many disappointed, since they had high expectations believing profit is guaranteed as at that time meanwhile profit isn’t guaranteed in bitcoin.

Secondly as you’ve also said, investors who use bitcoin investment to try luck will also end up not able to invest for long term and I believe this set of people who try their luck with bitcoin are not even sure of bitcoin and also don’t really know much about it because bitcoin isn’t a game or gambling that works with luck, it only the condition of the market that will determine the outcome.

Regardless of how you might want to put it, we are all trying our luck in every investment, including Bitcoin investment. No matter how perfect or certain an investment looks, or how much you have sacrificed to understand it and get smart about it before investing, you are still trying your luck at the end of the day.

Lack of success or small success, of course. Imagine preparing so well for Bitcoin, and you played by the book, but the return is so small in the long run.
