Awesome! I just bought some more Hyper, real cheap! Cool

also, can we get a better looking coin image? the one on my desktop
wallet is different from the "double-bar" one at hypercrypto.com.
How about a black H in flames, with bright red and yellow background
and a black ring or border. Or lightning bolts coming off the corners
of the H for a 3D effect (with another H, to symbolize staking).
Or spell out HYPER on the coin for better name recognition.
Forget the last one, too unconventional.

P.S. When i open the wallet, i see a 3rd coin image.
There seems to be no standard image yet.

I think this is a good time to buy HYPER (I've been able to get a little, want to get more when I have some funds) - it's only a hunch but I can't see it staying this low for long. (Please no-one buy merely on account of my hunch though!!! I'm no expert in crypto by any means whatsoever!)

I'm afraid I can't give much of an update on my HYPER-sponsored game Troll Song, as the dev team have had to take a rather longer than planned hiatus from it (my two co-devs have been working in a stylish retro platformer called "Until I Have You", which is one to look out for if you liked arcade games such as "Strider" from the 90s - though there are many modern tweaks to it too!) - since there's no way I could feasibly continue development on my own, I decided to concentrate on other projects until they can come back to it. I will keep you updated as and when I have more news.

You need to put the bootstrap file into the hyper data folder, it will be created once you have opened the wallet once.

C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Hyper <-- for windows. (You should also backup wallet.dat from this folder. Never delete wallet.dat)

Then start the wallet again.

Ignatius is certainly a good pick. He has been managing the servers and has been doing a good job at it so far, he certainly deserves it. He is the person i have seen the most when dealing with HYPER (the servers can take quite a bit of work, managing + payouts and more).

I do not have a Stakebox but I did get the webui code running on an Ubuntu VPS with only minor changes. It very worked well and the software alone is worth the price of a Stakebox, hopefully he is encouraged to continue development.

That is very cool that you like the WebUI, thanks for your words of encouragement. I have a list of things I would like to add to the WebUI, and am always open to suggestions. I had a pretty busy non-crypto life this holiday season, but now that that is over I am looking to get back to working on it.

I had a bit of a delay due to running out of SD cards, but they came in today, and I should be shipping them out on Saturday. If possible, please give one to Ignatus also. When you look at the thread from start you will see he has been a crucial part of the project for a long time. His part has been huge as the servers he maintains and what he does has been one of the more popular parts of HYPER. I think he deserves it

I would like to know a lot more about the StakeBox.
I did buy an android tablet for a similar purpose...
to test some android staking coin apps (my winner: Novacoin).

One question I have: is it even necessary to stake continuously?
Maybe with some coins, or maybe if you just want to support
the network.

Now that I have upgraded to 8gigs RAM, I have no problem
running wallets, even a memory hog like Hyper-qt. Shocked

Hyper is my favorite POS coin! Cheesy

Minimum coin age is 1 day or 24 hours. The more coins you have in your HYPER wallet, and the longer it's been since you moved the coins, opened (or unlocked) your wallet, the more chance you will have of automatically generating proof of stake blocks.
