Yeah, i tried telling them that in IRC, afraid they have the belief good product sells itself. Well, that's fine, i sold half my stash on that news knowing there was no marketing plan in place.
Let's hope word of mouth really works, since all i can tell is that is what they expect to happen.
If you would check blackcoin and their Marketing campaign then you would know that marketing alone won't do a effect as well.
What we need is more time to be noticed, this is not a Pump and Dump coin so be patient
Not true, black hired a PR firm which was complete waste of money. There isn't really anything we need to pay for here to get people interested. Just look at vericoin and what they are doing on twitter daily and uncloaked themselves. I skype video chat or something professional like developers on webpage showing who they are, something done right like that would raise prices and keep from slipping, even gain new investors.
Developers should really consider doing some proactive marketing, which is nothing more than free stuff. We don't need to spend dime right now, but reassure people outside of BTC talk about this coin.
This coin is nothing to most people, why? They have no idea what is being created here, or what cloakcoin is doing with tech and anon. Heck, most have no clue there are 4 full time developers and 2 part time.
Stuff like this is not tweeted or presented enough, and in early stages you need to have a plan when prices slip, to keep people interested with updates on twitter.
Search twitter for vericoin, and tons of things come up, cloakcoin on twitter just a handful of people, including me post about it.
I would hope one of the developers would take the lead and uncloak themselves or activelly take over twitter and update there almost daily. Little bit goes a long way in these markets.
