To update on the PoT and PoP algorithms, I worked with the developers this morning to refine the algorithms to assure that they remain stable throughout the lifetime of the coin, so they don't become excessively large or small values, exceeding the computational ability of the platform. It is also necessary to avoid faults arising from potential network latency conditions. We are finishing a simulator program to project network activity over decades of operation to assure stability, since we would rather have everything work properly from the beginning than to have to revise things with patches later.
I saw another CPU mined coin project rush things out the door to meet deadlines with very adverse results, leading to a rush of unexpected cloud and bot mining which resulted in a flood of orphaned blocks. This left the founders able to mine much less than they anticipated, which they were relying upon to fund continued development. The resulting shortfall in mining severely impacted the project.
We want to make sure everything runs smoothly from the start, without the need to issue any emergency patches later on.
Thank you for your continued patience, support, and interest in the Crypti project.
Thanks for the update, and I completely understand that you need more time because you want to release a stable product.
So I am more then willing to wait as long as it is a stable client.
