My guess is most people weren't online when the actual launch happened. Normally I don't engage in name calling on the forums but the dev is either lazy or incompetent (my vote on the latter). The so called wallet had/has dogecoin logo attached to it. Then the miner testing was done on the main net rather than the testnet allowing 70-80 blocks to be mined even before the coin was launched. So anyone mining with a view other than dumping it when it debuts on the exchange, stop now, there is no future for this coin.
Actually, the launch was pretty decent compared to the average launches these days. The dogecoin logo in the installer is just an image which got left over. In fact I think it's funny how people responded to that while some devs are using other coins' complete code instead of images and nobody cares (you decide which is worse).
The miner testing happened on testnet, although the first 70 or so blocks were indeed mined early because someone compiled the wallet before the password was released. Basically anybody who is upset about that instamined 30.000 coins while so far over 700.000 coins were mined is pretty much just jelous it wasn't him. Either way, it is silly to claim it can't have a future.
