Well, the firmware was actually removed from the site at some stage, just that it has now been re-uploaded (I guess when the latter Nov 2014 release was ready).
It is just mind-boggling for bitmain to re-upload the clearly broken buggy useless fimware back into public domain. I just can not fathom any usefulness value this has or can have for the user. For bitmain, of-course, this can spike sales for replacement boards when users have bricked their original ones.
Agreed, all of the firmware was removed yesterday and put back at some point last night. Either way, I now have a brick unit that I can not access LUCI...
I do NOT have one of those orbs that you look into to see the future, but if you get in touch with bitmain, they will replace your board, shipped by UPS (their cheaper logisitcs partner), that for a handsome amount. And you are not alone.
I heard back from Bitmain Warranty. They're wanting me to pay 0.18985 btc for one S3 control board. <snip> ... </snip>
