who settles degens markets?

if degens settles their markets how is it non custodial?

there is no difference on theft of funds

if you deposit on fairlay they can just disappear and take your funds with them
on degens they can just grade everything a loss, disappear and take your funds


I personally like degens layout and prices are good,
I think degens staff or owner is a complete knobjob and  I would absolutely hate to deal with him on a dispute or issue.

fairlay UI can be difficult for new users but once you know it is good and the app is really easy to use but very low limits
fairlay management staff is hard to find and they don't seem to really prioritize users needs attentively as they could
fairlay support staff is very responsive and helpful but the support staff have very limited power and refer many things to management

I personally don't use degens just because I feel like if I had an issue the owner does not give me the impression he would be helpful but full disclosure I don't know that directly, I only know from my interactions with him on other business matters not as a degens customer

Yes, you are correct that you cannot create your own market on Degens. Degens intentionally does not allow this to minimize the possibility of disputes.

I'll check out Fairlay one day if I ever stumble across some BTC... BTC hasn't really been a thing in my circles for 5+ years. As you are aware, Degens.com uses the DAI stablecoin on the ethereum network which supports smart contracts which we believe are the future of sports betting.

That's really weird that you haven't been able to fix the problem with a force refresh and browser change. What browsers have you been trying? I've been on Firefox (v83.0b3) and haven't experienced the problems you describe.

I have taken a look at the site, but find it very unclear and not clearly structured. Maybe the design can be adjusted somewhere?
The most famous exchanges all have roughly the same infrastructure and design.
