I'm not quite sure why, but Fairlay has decided to incorrectly interpret Biden's swearing in as the time when he became president (11:48am).

The Constitution says: "The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January".  Obviously having two presidents is impossible.

As such, they are incorrectly unsettling a small (12.1 mbtc) bet for Biden to be president that happened at 11:52am.

I'm not that upset because this is for a small bet, but I would rather see Fairlay follow the rules of the bet which said NOTHING about swearing in.

They also unsettled the entire market with 147,000 mbtc of volume - just so they could do this mistake.

I guess their argument is that the oath was a pivotal moment, but I'd say it wasn't.  There is no clear point between 12:01am on Jan 20, and 11:59am Jan 20 where there was a sudden shift in the odds that Biden would become president.  There were many gradual things that happened: Trump leaving the building, the inauguration starting, the military band not kidnapping Biden, no noticeable protests that could prevent it, Harris getting inaugurated, the snow and weather being very mild, etc.

Just so everyone knows, Fairlay has recently unfairly voided my sizeable esports bet (7.99 mbtc won) and refused to give me my money after numerous support requests.  I want my money back, and they refuse to do anything.  I've been a fairlay user for years, but now it seems they've started to steal money from their punters.  Do not bet with fairlay if you want your money after you win. There was a dispute about if my bet was made inplay or before the match started.  I made the bet during the draft, like I often do, and then they claimed that was during the match.    .  I suggest other betting with other books, provided you like not having your bets unfairly voided.

Have been using Fairlay for the last couple of years without any issues whatsoever. Some people are jumping to random conclusions because of various reasons. Every gambling site runs into problems now and then.

Anyone else been getting errors on site lately? It asks for a captcha now every time I visit for past 2 days, and then goes to an error page. Refreshing then brings the site up fine, so no issue other than slight inconvenience.

Also, less of an issue but accessing markets from search, and then trying to take/match the orders is getting less success on the 1st attempt, sometimes a whole slew of orders available a second ago disappear when trying to match.

Not a complaint, just wondering if anyone else sees this and if it's a temporary issue.

captcha and cloudflare have been a real issue. I think with some soon to come updates we should see a huge improvement
