Press, I staked five times on smaller blocks than he has since he first started posting about his troubles. It's not as dire as the predictions above, ever, for me. In fact the longest block I had was rather large.

Actually, yes, there is. As more staking occurs, and change addresses are used, more keypairs are generated. I don't know what the keypool default is for HYP, but once those keys are used up, new keys are generated. If they aren't backed up, and something goes south, they're lost. It's a good idea for the sake of paranoia to do a weekly backup.

what will happen if the diff. goes up ? how will be affected  the stake period?

you missed the most important part, need to gain weight
higher weight = higher chance of successful stake
weight = number of coins * coin age


coins gain weight the longer they are staking thus giving them greater chances of successfully staking
after successfully staking, those coins age and weight reset to 0 so the chances are exactly the same for everyone, new or old
the only significant change is "current difficulty"

if you are familiar with traditional mining, more miners means higher network hashrate resulting in greater difficulty
POS is the same with traditional mining
with greater difficulty, higher weight is required to get a successful stake

by the way, i noticed your signature is XCurrency which is also using POS to secure the network, its the same exept XC has min stake age of 8 hrs where as in HYP min stake age is 8.8 days and of course POS interest of 3.33% vs 750% per year

In fact XC and HYP have the same base staking code (trk was a clone of x11coin which was rebranded as xcurrency later).

There we go. We have 2 BTC that will be given to the dev if they can get this coin to hold above 5k sat. I also would like a time limit on this. MY opinion is they have until September 1st. That gives them 2 months to come up with a solid plan and implement it. Any one else interested in joining us just post here. And I will keep a running total. Now if the dev doesnt show up or do a darn thing and it just gets to 5k we will not pay him. Just so there are no loopholes. As long as he is active and working to improve the coin and community and we reach the 5k sat I will pay him.

The Septermber 1st time limit i dont care about ,but i would like it to Hold above 5k for awhile;)
I dont know if others offerd a bounty but i know i did so If it holds above 5k ull get my 20k HYP.
