Hi all.

Was wondering if I might get a little bit of help. I picked up 3 AntMiner S3s a while back and currently have 2 of the 3 (#2 & #3) up and running just fine. The first one, however, was my learning curve and I accidentally deleted the LAN config from the interface when initially trying to set the unit up. Now I'm unable to get it to factory reset so that I can properly configure it.

When I turn the unit on it'll start with the typical steady flashing red LED which, after a few seconds, starts to quickly flash then goes solid along with the green light. During this time at initial startup the green LED on the ethernet port blinks about 4 times then shuts off completely going forward. At this point, no form of reset that I've found yet works.

The only time I can get any type of change is if I  double tap the reset button which will get the ethernet port to blink a few more times and then shut back off. At that point I have to restart to get any kind of result.

In all likelihood I've totally bricked the unit and there's nothing that can be done, but from what I've see the control boards on these are pretty damned resilient. It's just a pain in the ass to get a proper reset on them.

Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?

If its on older firmware, then the factory reset won't work and the controller is bricked. Have look what firmware versions are on the other two miners and report back.

people just did not tell me that by simply taking the cover off S3's that they run very cool EVEN in summer.

No extra fans, cooling or family complaining noise and heat

I need help setting up this machine.

Currently I have it connected through WIFI as a client. I am wondering if it's possible to use the LAN port on the machine and run it to a switch so I can connect other miners to the switch and it will relay the wifi traffic thru the lan port. I will setup all machines through the lan port to the switch as a Static ip, if that helps out any.. I know its possible to do this, I am just having a hard time getting it to route through. I need to know specifics such as if the lan port needs to have it's own IP address (managed or unmanaged) and how to bridge them and firewall/routing information. The Wifi is setup right now with a Static IP address on a 10.0.0.x ip range

3 S3 ant-miners. one is WiFi connected as well as going to a switch with a cable, other two will be connected via LAN port to the switch. And a few other miners using a Raspberry PI. I'm just trying to route the Wifi traffic through the LAN port to the switch so the other miners have connectivity.

Not really, you'd be over 90% of the psu's rated capacity even with underclocked S3s.  It might work for a little while, but the psu is going to run hot and not be as efficient and probably burn out quickly.

I already have the Corsair AX-760 which is why i wanted to use it 

That's far too conservative, the 760W rating on Corsair PSUs is already its 24/7 rating with 836W being the peak rating. They're also MTBF'ed at 100,000 hours.

It'll be cutting it close, the RX850 has 4x12V rails and only a 730W rating between them. On paper it'll do it but weird things happen on multi rail PSUs.

Can you post a screenshot of the status page please?

If your PSU is good and you've tried hard restarts (from the PSU), there isn't really anything you can do about it.
