if someone could provide me with a full status report of the coin. Are there any sync issues. does the blockchain work correctly. is there forking. the last statement by the old dev.

Well believe me, if I had time to continue developing, I would do it. No one has more affection to the coin, as I am the one who spent most time on this coin, not spent the time to talk, but countless hours to design and code and test the coin. But unfortunately I have my work and my responsibilities. So I can not continue developing the coin.

What I want:
1. make supercoin back to open source based coin
2. hope some qualified people from community can take over the code

As some people expressed the concerns about other coins copy-paste the code, I share the same concerns, that's why I did not publish yet the code.  I am in a dilemma now. If no qualified people to take-over, the publication of code will do no good to supercoin, but I also want the supercoin be open source, so community can maintain and develop the code.

So this is my decision:
a. I won't publish the code until community have someone qualified to take over the code.
b. If there's a qualified person (need to have a track record), I will send him the code 1 week before I make it publicly in git.

We just took 30 minutes to do an in depth look at the coin. We can confirm that the block chain is working correctly. there seems to be no real health issues with the coin itself. if the current dev now is willing to hand over the code, we would be able to take control of development of supercoin. a closer analysis of the code itself would be needed to determine the coins next immediate action however.

So we can implement that in SUPERCOIN as well. It is a closed source future that we only use for our coins.

I tend to disagree with this because if the dev has brought a ton of coins to compensate his time, and the coin continues, then walking away at least for now because of other issues, work or whatever is not such a far fetched thing especially as he is willing to pass on the code for others, for the continued advancement of the coin.

I have always considered this coin a great opportunity for new qualified devs since Supercoindev has decided to pass on the coin and code.

Well okay people ! It seems that we have a qualified not only dev , but team ! That is interested in taking over our beloved coin.
All we need is for the dev to release the code to the new dev, so lets all message him and ask him to do so.
Supercoin has a future, we just have to work for it!
