The Chinese community can trade on Bittrex but there are a few limitations they do not need at Bitshares. For one, they need to use a VPN connection to connect to Bittrex and for second they need to understand the English language.
So there really is a language barrier for some of the people there. The Chinese community made special translated howto’s for Bittrex in there own language, but they still need to use a VPN.

WhiteCoin is moving instant messaging from Slack to Discord



WhiteCoin (XWC) has initiated a move from the Slack platform to Discord.

Due to changes in policy made by Slack we have decided the best course of action is to move platforms to Discord. Slacks’ change of policy has meant we are unable to continue to have an open registration process for the WhiteCoin Slack channel and would require a manual invitation for each new member.

The change of policy by Slack does not align with the WhiteCoin philosophy of being an open and transparent community. This also creates another obstacle for new users who wish to join the WhiteCoin community, we want an easy to access and streamlined approach to joining the community and we think the move to the Discord platform will encourage this and allow instant access to both the development team and the wider WhiteCoin community.

We do understand that this move does have challenges and we will continue to work to improve the services available with Discord.

For the foreseeable future our Slack channel will remain operational to allow the maximum amount of time for all users to transition across to the new Discord platform but we encourage all users to register with Discord in a timely manner.

do i need to move the .DAT file to my new directory? i tried this methode but my coins wont show up i see the address but not my coins? or am i too late for the swap?

so that means i lost all my Coins? not just me but i am sure theres more people that didnt know about this? i know dark did the same but i was able to recover them and convert them into dash, any solution for XWC??

Unfortunately yes, you have lost your coins.

The swap was fundamentally done because the old blockchain had become unstable and very vulnerable to attack. We had to upgrade or else we would not have been credible and been de-listed from all exchanges. Which would have killed the coin for all.

We did our best to inform everyone between January and May when the swap was completed and have had very few people miss out.

I know this doesn't make things any better for you but it had to be done for Whitecoin to exist at all.

I´m glad to have some Whitecoins in my pocket. This coin is doing very great since 3 months. I hope this will go on in the future.
