yeah so many noobs here claim litecoins only number 2 because it was the first alt   same noob also yell it was created to avoid asics    

but anyways it has even more cred having had to fight so many from the start to rise to number 2 and impressively held it ever since

If bitcoin ever gets a new rally, watch litecoin closely. Litecoin will go higher in terms of folding.

I personally don't think litecoin has a big future at all.
Bitcoin is too well known for any altcoin to prosper.
It's bitcoin or nothing for cryptocurrency imo.

I think all the altcoins are destined to fail.
I see nothing in any of them that makes them likely to succeed where bitcoin hasn't.

Bitcoin hasn't succeeded yet on a large scale, I believe it will but all the altcoins will die along the way.

It is fair to assume that Litecoin had more Volume for the past year than all other altcoins put together

Litecoins volume for the past year is:        996,423,306
Ripple, Dash, Stellar, Maidsave, Dogecoin,
nxt, Bitshares and Monero together is:       739,943,271

the remaining low volume coins unlikely make a the difference
bitshare and stellar not a full years data and dogecoin is nowhere near its crazy spikes anymore

Litecoin should enjoy a nice boost a lot sooner than BTC due to the upcoming halving.
Long term, obviously, BTC will always be ahead. But from a purely speculative standpoint- the next 4 months should show LTC with much higher gains.

as a hero member level how can you still hold to this , the faster confirm is at the expense of security and block chain bloat, so it doesnt really confirm faster, as propagation is just as fast as its the same signal down the wires.

you have to watch bloat and orphans splits for optimal confirm times but faster confirms is a myth

Well my bet is LTC will do just fine if BTC does just fine...if it strays downward in linkage below the 0.006 LTC to BTC mark...I will likely have a change of heart.
(mining wih knc titan(s) scrypt miners so hardly unbiased in this) but anyway accumulating and holding at the present time (1850 LTC) but with LTC halving coming
up in around 100 days that is my bet...so yeah ....I could put up with LTC just fine at 0.006 LTC per BTC ...esp if BTC went back to 1000 usd ......$6 LTC is just
fine and dandy from where I sit running these Titan(s) to doorstop status (hey...wtf its only money right ....this will all seem moot when in a few years when I have to
suck up to our supreme overlord alien masters conquering the Earth right?)

anyway the bet so far...if it gets to weird I will mine LTC to BTC on www.westhash.com ..and likely hold the LTC I've got now....  a hope and a prayer....but from
the last of the home miners of any type I shall own...may as well take a chance...before these units turn to expensive space heaters and  doorstops....
