thesherpa is not a scammer and does not have sock puppet accounts
However, there has been a continual problem with a scammer in several of the main irc coin channels. The scammer imitates another known user by using a very similar name with one character changed. thesherpa has been instrumental in tracing and publicizing this scammer, so either you are the scammer, attempting to ruin his reputation or you have been a victim of this kind of scam. either way thesherpa did not scam or attempt to scam you.
The link you provide shows the known scammer "aabtce" attempting a similar smear campaign in IRC, the context of that convo was the thesherpa outing "aabtce" as a scammer.
