Mine has been open since POS phase began. I staked four coins, and it's been nothing but orphans since.
You might need to delete the block chain and let it re-sync.
I shutdown the wallet and relaunched with a -reindex. It worked for a bit and staked a single coin, then orphaned the next one. Going to leave it alone for 24 hours and see what happens.
Deleting the .conf file feels extreme and risky. Is that really the only option to fix this? I've probably had 100-200 orphans, maybe more...
Back up the conf file before you delete it.
If a problem occurs just copy and paste again.
This worked for Crypto Latino
I have removed the .conf file and my wallet seems to be working just fine no orphans ?
Yes so far so good .
what I did remove .conf delete and bye. save wallet.dat and peer and deleted the rest. waited for wallet to fully sync with out interruption and without .conf by the way if they where a .conf I think it should be named as the folder it is in which has a capital C rave. 1s in sync close wallet and replace wallet.dat a peer with yours, Open wallet and start to stake.
I threw in chunks of 600 and spilted and stakes nicely still looking to see how much it will split without orphans. What I did notices is that after some stakes my wallet showed a different balance did a repairwallet and problem continued so I redid this proses and all good again
