Yes completely avoiding gambling is the best option before you realise it is correct or wrong.

gambling is just for pleasure and pastime which is not wrong but if you are gambling as a living , to get back your loss, and to earn profit then it will become wrong. never ever treat gambling as a job (which is very wrong)

Yes as long as one gamble just for fun then it should be good but as you know people usually will start as fun but slowly they will start thinking of making a quick bucks without any hardwork so slowly they will try to bet more and more and finally they will addict to gambling. Once any one addicted to the gambling then surely they will end up loosing big money. So what I feel is better avoid it instead controlling it later.
